Pastor Artez Adkins is a carrier of a reforming voice, devoted to spreading the gospel of Christ. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Christian Education from The Apex School of Theology.
Pastor Adkins is an anointed man of God charged with the commission to submit to the will of God and serve as His voice. With such a great calling to fulfill, his ultimate desire is that none should perish, and that people fully embrace the love of God and walk in God’s will and purpose for their lives.
An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Adkins practical teaching of the Word, helps people apply the timeless truths of the Scripture to their everyday lives. He is a true worshipper at heart who is passionate about empowering individuals to grow in the Word and develop a relationship with Christ. He firmly believes the Church should be a “safe place” for all people.
Pastor Artez Adkins is married to Kim Adkins with whom he has three remarkable children; Chelsea, Cydnee, and Cameron.

Senior Pastor Kim Evans
Greater Joy Church - Headquarters
Pastor Kimberly Marie Evans is a native of Creedmoor, NC
and a graduate of the University of Mt. Olive with a degree in
Management and Organizational Development. She remains bi-
vocational, working in the Strategy and Innovation division of her
organization. She is blessed with one daughter, Faith Marie.
Pastor Kim, as she is known, has been a fervent servant of God for her entire life. She has served as Youth Minister, Minister of Music,
Christian Education instructor, and Women’s ministry leader for Greater Joy Baptist Church in Durham, NC under the leadership of her father, Bishop James E. Daniel. She was licensed to preach in July of 2010 and ordained by her brother, Bishop Shelton Daniel, in November of 2011.
Since January of 2012, Pastor Kim has furthered the Gospel of Jesus
Christ as Founding Pastor of Greater Joy Baptist Church of Butner, NC.
Through an honest and transparent approach to the Word of God, she seeks to prepare the entire body of Christ for the challenges of day to day living. She facilitates workshops and seminars that provide divine guidance for victory within the common challenges of life. It is her Godly mandate to reach those who are hurting, restore their confidence and assist them as they regain their lost joy. Pastor Kim relentlessly heralds the Kingdom message of the reality of humanity within the daily pursuit of godliness.
If her ministry were to be summed up in one phrase it would be: practical dynamite!

Senior Pastor Latasha Hicks
Greater Joy Church - Butner
Elder Latasha Hicks a native of Butner, NC, was born to Shelia and the
late Ronald Moss. She has been married to her high school sweetheart,
Robert Hicks, since October 2010 and together they have 5 children.
Latasha attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where
she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics. As
a college student, she joined the Neo-Black Society Gospel Choir and it
was during this time that Latasha gave her life to Christ and since then,
she has grown in her love for Christ and his people.
Upon graduating college, Latasha began to work as a middle school math
teacher for Guilford County Schools while furthering her education. In
2009, Latasha obtained her Master’s degree in Secondary Education from
Grand Canyon University. She is currently a teacher in the Wake County
Public School System, where she teaches 8th-grade math.
In April of 2018, after much prayer, Latasha decided to walk in full
obedience of the call of the Lord upon her life. She did her initial sermon
on October 26th of the same year at Greater Joy Baptist Church of Butner
under the leadership of her Pastor, Reverend Kimberly Evans. Latasha has
made it her goal to operate in accordance with the will of God for her life,
while positively impacting the lives of each individual that crosses her
path.
